Tasting The Dirt – Burke Bike Park, Burke, VT

Mason Moore and Evan Carlson at Burke Bike Park

There are few places on this earth that I would rather ride than the rolling grass hills of northeastern Vermont. I’m going to come right out and say I’m biased because this is where I’m from, but even still, most people who have visited can instantly appreciate it’s allure. Something about the lush green the landscape, the cool summer breeze, the twisting dusty dirt roads through the shallow valleys, all make it a very cozy & comfortable destination.

Back in August Mason Moore made a trip out to the east coast to help put on a learn to ride at the annual Bike & Brew Festival at Burke Mountain. After a savage night in NYC, we took the 6 hour drive to the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont and immediately got to riding. Staying par for the course with the Tasting The Dirt series, here is some raw footage from the always epic Burke Bike Park & a few other spots around the Kingdom.

Bobsledding with Mason Moore

Van Dewitt Mountainboarding Bobsled Trail in Utah

Utah has a bunch of great spots to ride unfortunately I’ve only had the opportunity to ride things outside of Salt Lake City. There is a deep click of riders in SLC who are constantly out exploring. Check out this quick clip of bobsledding champion Mason Moore cranking some turns in Salt Lake. If you’re in the area be sure to get in touch with these guys, this spot looks hella crispy!

Summer Nostalgia

Unfortunately this new lifestyle has effected my ability to update The Dirt on a regular basis, so my apologize. to the few readers out there. The one great thing about being a freelancer is your schedule is flexible, for example i’m in a coffee shop in NYC writing this post, I was also able to spend a week riding with Dylan Warren when he came to visit Colorado in August. I also took a trip to Ohio last month with Mason Moor, Dave Starfighter and Devin Garland to ride in some demos at GearFest which turned out to be a really great event.

Anyhow this all saddens me as I know the snow will be coming soon and the hot summer days spent mountainboarding will be a distant memory. Here are a few clips I shot on the Panasonic LX3 this summer.
